As part of the IGCSE programme, most learners will take four core subjects, one language and up to three electives. The diagram on the right shows you the range of subjects offered.

To support individual circumstances, e.g. those of elite athletes, it is possible to study fewer electives and create study periods during the school day.

If you are on the English for Academic Purpose Programme that will take the place of your elective subjects. The aim is that we use the time to improve your academic English so that you you have the best chance of success in your other IGCSE subjects and are well prepared for the IB DP to follow.
